In IE11, the default protocol for secure communications is Transport Layer Security v1.2, whereas the RC4 cipher suite is deprecated. IE11 also has Full Screen and Orientation API support, CSS border image support, JavaScript enhancements, DOM mutation observers, Web Cryptography API support, video text track support, encrypted media support, and a better HTML editor. Internet Explorer 11 received HTTP/2 support after its release. IE11 provides enhanced developer tools, WebGL support, high DPI scaling, and prerender and prefetch. Microsoft has stated that IE Mode will be supported until at least 2029, with a one-year warning before this form of Internet Explorer 11 is retired.
